C19th brick built old vicarage. Exterior brick walls had generations of masonry paints, deteriorating pointing and extensive weather damage.
Work carried out
The masonry paint to the roadside wall was removed using a combination of paint softeners and a high pressure, super-heated steam cleaner (Thermatech). The brickwork was then repaired where necessary and repointed in a suitable lime mortar. An NHL5 plinth was then added to protect the lower section. We also repointed the brickwork to the garden wall.
