Grade II listed Victorian town house. The porch was suffering from lack of maintenance and was looking very tired and in need of some work. The door frame was rotten in places.
Work carried out
Cementitious render was removed from the lower piers to the porch and re-rendered in lime mortar with a formed chamfer and larks tongue to the corners. The masonry moulding above was repaired using a suitable stone dust and lime putty mortar. A lime paint was then applied to the masonry. The rotten arched door frame was replaced with Oak and decorated along with the original door and top light.
