Although not listed this property clearly holds a lot history. Records showed that it was standing prior to the great fire of Marlborough in 1653. Unfortunately, invasive building work done in the 80s means that very little of the original timber frame and masonry remains.
Work carried out
Removal of exterior masonry paint using a combination of paint softeners and super-heated, high pressure steam cleaner (Thermatech). Consolidation of historic brickwork at lower levels. Due to the awful modern brickwork that was exposed in many areas the clients opted to redecorate using a mineral silicate paint.
