Original Blue Lias gate piers in need of substantial repairs. The client requested them to be positioned further apart to provide easier vehicular access.
Work carried out
Piers were carefully dismantled and each stone labelled. Two concrete slabs were formed and the piers rebuilt using lime mortar and reinforced with stainless pins.
